Before we accept a patient at Adventure Chiropractic, we must complete an Initial Evaluation. To be considered, the Doctor must be able to:
1. Perform an evaluation of your condition
2. Assess and determine cause(s) of the imbalance and/or symptoms
3. Determine a treatment plan that will achieve results
4. The doctor will advise you if x-rays or an MRI is needed
Before you are accepted as a client, a visit to our office begins with a one-on-one consultation to discuss your health issues and goals and to receive a comprehensive chiropractic examination and evaluation.
The exam by the chiropractor will involve palpation and posture assessment to explore the alignment of your spine and other structures, assess range of motion issues, muscle tone and static structural issues. Through the exam, we can identify the source of the biomechanical imbalance and the related performance issues. If an imbalance is found that may be causing the problems, we will discuss the initial type of care and number of visits needed for the first phase of treatment, followed by an intro session to the type of treatment you will require.
Once we have a care plan for your condition, each visit will consist of 30-45 minutes of soft tissue management techniques, which include the following: myofascial release, neuromuscular re-education, active release, or facilitated stretching. Next, appropriate and specific chiropractic adjustments will be made, followed by effective physical therapy modalities as needed. These include ultrasound, interferential muscle stimulation, and heat or ice.
Insurance: We accept all PPO plans with ‘out of network’ benefits and ILWU. Please call if you have any questions.
